Find and customize your favorite axe from our family of brands in the Ubisoft game Rocksmith+
In the new Rocksmith+ PlayStation release, the experience now integrates a beautiful array of Gibson and Epiphone guitar models into the lineup of choices a player makes for their gameplay instrument.
Ubisoft spent much time perfecting the guitars’ look and accuracy in collaboration with Gibson. Scans of instruments, blueprints, and expert 3D modeling funneled into the delightful outcome. Players can now wield Gibson instruments as they journey through the game’s paces and learning experience—Rocksmith+ has the largest selection of original songs, including some from Gibson-playing artists like Lzzy Hale, Megadeth, Dream Theater, and Metallica.
Ubisoft states, “Guitars are not just instruments; they are a blend of art, history, and personal expression. Their bodies are iconic, their necks are essential to playing, and their headstocks, often overlooked, are a key element that sets your guitar apart. It’s the canvas where brands like Gibson have showcased their iconic designs, such as the renowned open book shape of the Les Paul™ and SG™ models.

“Our passion for realism didn’t stop at shapes and colors. Rendering materials quickly became a strong focus as they are a staple in guitar design. While chrome and gold have standard solutions in the 3D world, we ventured into creating specific techniques for more unique materials like pearloid, striving to replicate their distinct appearance and feel.”
