Three dedicated channels for tonal flexibility
Channel 1: Clean
The JP-2C’s first channel delivers pristine clean tones optimized for maximum headroom. However, you can nudge the MID control above 12 o’clock to add drive when needed, making this channel useful for many playing styles and musical genres.
Channel 2: Crunch
This channel is designed for tight, overdriven rhythm sounds. It features the iconic Mark IIC+ Lead Channel circuit and is enhanced with a SHRED Mode that can be activated via a mini toggle switch. On Channels 2 and 3, the SHRED Mode adds upper harmonic content and a more extended top-end layer. SHRED also adds more gain in a narrow, specific region for more cut and edge.
Channel 3: High Gain Lead
The JP-2C’s third channel is identical to Channel 2, save for one small difference; Channel 3 provides slightly more gain due to a higher value for the internally preset VOLUME 1 Control found on a Mark IIC+. This difference optimizes Channel 3 for single-note lead work and makes the response fatter and rounder sonically, with a creamier feel.
