Gibson introduces new Les Paul Standard 50s and 60s models in Faded and Mahogany Top incarnations

Satin nitrocellulose finishes and mahogany tops bring different flavors to an industry Standard

Gibson has announced several new variations on its acclaimed Les Paul™ Standard 50s and 60s models. The updated Les Paul lineup includes the Les Paul Standard 50s and 60s Faded models, featuring satin nitrocellulose finishes and classic design elements, and special mahogany top versions that offer a warmer and more midrange-focused tone than the usual maple/mahogany pairing. In addition, there are Vintage Cherry finishes on hand that are exclusive to Gibson.com and the Gibson Garage.

With premium hardware, Burstbucker™ pickups, and signature Les Paul tone and playability, these new models deliver modern performance while being a tribute to Gibson’s Golden Era of innovation. Each guitar comes with a hardshell case, ensuring protection for musicians on the go.

The 60s Burstbucker pickups, paired with premium hardware, deliver unmatched sustain and clarity. Available in Vintage Bourbon Burst, Vintage Cherry Sunburst, and a Gibson.com and Gibson Garage exclusive Vintage Cherry, this model offers comfort and performance for musicians seeking a sleeker feel.
