The legendary Epiphone Coronet comes home to the USA
Epiphone is proud to reintroduce one of its original and most cherished guitar designs, the Epiphone Coronet, now crafted in the USA for the first time in decades alongside the prestigious Gibson USA models. First launched in 1958, the Coronet quickly became a cornerstone in Epiphone’s lineup of solidbody electric guitars.
The new Coronet, finished in Vintage Cherry and Ebony, preserves the classic features that made it a legend, including its symmetrical double cutaway mahogany body. It also sports the iconic three-on-a-side headstock and the distinctive “Bikini” badge on the headstock, reminiscent of the earliest versions from 1958-1959. The design is completed with the traditional pickguard shape that fans of the original will instantly recognize.
The Coronet isn’t just a tribute to the past. It incorporates modern enhancements for today’s guitarist, including a slightly wider nut width of 1.695 inches for comfortable playability, a SlimTaper™ neck profile for effortless fretting, a thinner body depth of 1.375 inches for improved balance and lighter weight, and a high-quality Graph Tech® nut. The guitar has a powerful single P-90 Soapbar pickup, delivering a raw, vintage tone suitable for almost any style.
