Design and features
The Epiphone Jimi Hendrix “Love Drops” Flying V is inspired by a guitar that Hendrix played extensively from 1967-69, and is a meticulously crafted instrument that reflects Hendrix’s unique style and personality. Originally a Sunburst model, Hendrix personally customized his Flying V with hand-painted psychedelic graphics after first refinishing it in Ebony. This new release faithfully recreates that iconic design, making it a must-have for fans and collectors alike.
The Jimi Hendrix “Love Drops” Flying V is available in both right-handed and left-handed versions, honoring the left-handed legend himself. The body is made from mahogany, complemented by a one-piece mahogany neck with a rounded C profile and a laurel fretboard featuring 22 medium-jumbo frets. This attention to detail ensures the guitar not only looks authentic but also delivers the same feel and playability that Hendrix enjoyed.
The guitar’s electronics are top-notch, featuring USA-made Gibson Custombucker humbuckers™, CTS® potentiometers, a Mallory™ tone capacitor, and a Switchcraft® three-way pickup selector. These high-end components guarantee that the sound quality matches the iconic look.
