Following the introduction of the Les Paul Supreme, Gibson is thrilled to unveil the SG Supreme, a standout and modern addition to the SG lineup with updated features ready to outshine the competition.
The Gibson SG Supreme boasts an exquisite AAA-figured maple top set against a mahogany body, creating a stunning visual contrast and a rich, resonant sound. The exclusive 3-pickup version sports a plain maple top under the beautiful Ebony sheen.
The guitar’s mahogany neck is fitted with an ebony fretboard, designed with a compound radius for comfortable playability, 24 medium jumbo frets for versatility, and eye-catching Super Split Block mother-of-pearl inlays for an added touch of elegance.
A distinctive feature of this model is the headstock, which is graced with a unique mother-of-pearl “Chandelier Inlay,” which also appears on the Les Paul Supreme. This feature is discussed in more detail here. This intricate design, inspired by a 1940s motif found in the Gibson archives, adds a vintage charm to the guitar.
When it comes to electronics, the SG Supreme is equipped with Burstbucker Pro and Burstbucker Pro + pickups, offering a wide range of tones through push/pull volume controls for coil tapping and individual tone controls for precise sound shaping.
