The follow-up to his recent release, “A.F. Day,” Tankian composed “Justice Will Shine On” during the early days of System Of A Down. The new EP and other upcoming projects
“Justice Will Shine On,” along with “A.F. Day,” will be featured on Tankian’s forthcoming EP, Foundations, which will be released on September 27 via Gibson Records. This EP delves into the harrowing experiences of his grandparents during the Armenian Genocide, addressing their suffering through deeply personal lyrics that highlight the enduring fight for recognition and justice.
In “Justice Will Shine On,” Tankian sings: “Can you tell me dear grandfather of your childhood so far away / You can see the death of laughter in his teared eyes disarray. ” The soaring chorus of the song declares, “We are the children of all the survivors / Justice will shine on!”
In addition to his musical pursuits, Tankian has unveiled the cover art for the Foundations EP, featuring one of his original artworks, “Sunburst.”

On August 17, Tankian will perform with System Of A Down at a sold-out show in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. He recently celebrated the opening of Kavat Café and Eye For Sound Art Gallery in Los Angeles.
Tankian’s new memoir, Down With The System, was released in May by Hachette Books and has already become a New York Times bestseller.
